Nearing the finish line at Arizona Bank & Trust Chandler
The Active Shade® team is nearing completion on Arizona Bank & Trust’s new 57.8 kW Active Shade® solar shade canopy system and an 18.0 kW roof-mount solar system. Together the combined shade canopy and roof mount solar systems are anticipated to proivde a 78% offset of annual energy from the eletrical utility.
Bank visitors and staff alike will benefit from a new dual-head level 3 rapid-charge electric vehicle, (EV), charge station that is being installed as part of the multifunctional Active Shade® canopy. The EV charge station is being supplied with primary power from the canopy’s solar system. Full-functional and aesthetic features of Active Shade® will be complete, with the EV charge station joining the recently installed solar electric infrastructure and protective steel lattice on the canopy’s trusses and columns. And, -best of all, visitors and staff will be able to enjoy the 21 shaded parking spaces to avoid the scorching sun.
