Progress at Arizona Bank & Trust Chandler

Our Active Shade® installation at Arizona Bank and Trust’s Chandler branch is on track, with an expected completion by the end of October. Quite an achievement, we think, with the many logistical, operational, and health challenges of these turbulent COVID-19 times.

This configuration also shows the benefit of our Active Shade® design, in which a canopy structure can be easily modified. The owner requested that the solar shade structure be made larger than first shown on building permit drawings. The project team was able to quickly add a truss bay of 22 additional solar PV modules without significant redesign or construction cost increase, all while working with the City of Chandler Planning and Building Departments, to easily and promptly approve the design changes.
